The Importance of a Quality Wine Glass
According to Gergely Ripka, author of the award-winning TokajGuide, one of the world's most beautiful wines deserves a glass of the highest quality. The handmade glass was meticulously designed and developed in collaboration with Halimba Crystal, a Hungarian company known for producing premium chalices.
Testing and Launch
The final prototype of the wine glass was tested by 40 professionals, including producers from the Tokaj region, who evaluated it with 30 different types of aszú wines. The glass was officially unveiled on December 8 in Tarcal, northern Hungary, with the support of the Hungarian Wine Marketing Agency.
Availability for Consumers
In addition to being used in wineries, restaurants, and wine shops, lucky consumers will have the opportunity to experience this unique glass while enjoying Tokaji Aszú.
While aszú is traditionally paired with desserts, it also pairs well with roasted meats such as goose and duck liver. It can also be enjoyed with chestnuts, figs, cottage cheese, citrus fruit, and even sweet, aromatic cigars.
