Gypsy jazz, also known as Manouche jazz, is a style of small-group jazz that originated from the Romani guitarist Jean "Django" Reinhardt and the French swing violinist Stéphane Grappelli. Django Reinhardt was a Romani-Belgian jazz guitarist and composer who emerged as one of the first major jazz talents in Europe.
