The ingredients you'll need include 1 tablespoon of fat, 1 red onion, 50 dkg of pork leg, salt, pepper, red pepper powder, seasoning, 1 carrot, 1 parsley root, 1 slice of celery, 1 pepper, 1 tomato, 1 handful of whole pepper, 1 tsp of ground cumin seeds, and 30 dkg potatoes. Here's how you can create this delectable dish:
- Simmer the chopped red onion in heated fat until glassy.
- Add the diced, salted, and peppered meat, and fry until white.
- Sprinkle it with red pepper and seasoning and pour water over it.
- Add the vegetables and seasoning to the pot, cover with enough water and cook.
- Add the whole peppers, cumin seeds, and salt and continue cooking.
- Add the diced potatoes and cook the soup until it is completely ready in about 10 minutes.
Recipe 3: Meat-filled Crepes from Hortobágy
Although not a soup, the meat-filled crepes from Hortobágy are a genuine Hungarian specialty. You'll need 80 dkg chicken breast fillet, 3 heads of onion, 1 tomato, 30 dkg sour cream, 1 strong green pepper, salt, and pepper, 2 tsp of ground red pepper, a little oil, 25 dkg of fine flour, 2 dl of milk, 3 eggs, a pinch of salt, and a little oil. Here's how you can create this mouth-watering dish:
- Chop the cleaned onion into small pieces and cut the meat, peppers, and tomatoes.
- Braise onion in a little oil, add the red pepper and the meat, season with salt and pepper, and fry it a little.
- Add the peppers and tomatoes to the pot, cover with water and simmer.
- Stir the sour cream into the stew and strain it.
- Add a few tablespoons of gravy to the meat and mix it thoroughly.
