The city of Budapest has introduced a new scheme worth HUF 20 billion to address the low mobility of Hungary's workforce. The scheme aims to improve housing and mobility options for workers in the country.
Enhancing Accommodations
The scheme will focus on supporting the construction of modern and sustainable accommodations with two-bed rooms. Companies participating in the scheme will be required to maintain these accommodations for a period of 10 years. Additionally, for every 80 subsidized places, the operators must accept four registered jobseekers.
Availability for Seasonal Workers and Local Residents
The new accommodations will be open not only for seasonal workers but also for individuals arriving from within a 50km radius. This provides an opportunity for a wider range of workers to access improved housing options.
